Gum Grafting

Gum grafting is one of the more radical methods for treating gum recession and is performed in cases of advanced stages of this condition. Gum grafting involves surgically covering the exposed tooth root and crown. To perform this procedure, soft tissue graft is harvested from another area of the oral cavity or a portion of the palate. It is then transplanted to the site of advanced recession. Surgical treatment is predictable and effective, providing an immediate and lasting result.
