Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment involves removing diseased tissues from teeth and then filling the resulting space with material. The first step of root canal treatment is to open the tooth and create access to the root canals. The next step is to remove the pulp and enlarge the canals using files, while also disinfecting to eliminate bacteria and remnants of the pulp. After thorough disinfection and shaping, the canals are dried and tightly filled with gutta-percha to prevent reinfection. The tooth with prepared root canals is then restored with traditional fillings or prosthetic replacements. The quality of endodontic treatment can be verified through radiographic imaging. Root canal treatment is among the most complex and unpredictable procedures in dentistry, which is why microscopes are used to provide precise control and predictability by enhancing visibility. In our clinic, only specialists perform endodontic procedures, often rescuing teeth that were deemed for extraction in other practices.
